BPMA Executive/Mentorship Council
We are inviting Boston-area executives to be part of an exclusive Executive Council. Executives on the mentor council will provide advisory sessions to BPMA members on quarterly basis for a period of one year. BPMA members need to apply for these mentorships and only selected members will receive a mentorship for one year.
Being a mentor allows you to become part of an exclusive circle within the BPMA, where you can connect with other executives in the program. The mentees go through a selection process that matches their backgrounds and goals to your shared interests. This gives you the opportunity to help someone move forward in his or her career and know that you have been a part of that development. You will also have free access to the broader BPMA team at the organization’s monthly events.
The program launches in January 2010. Once you are matched to a mentee, there are scheduled mentorship forums in March, June, September and December. Executives will be required to spend about three hours per quarter with the mentee at the official program. Mentors and mentees are requested to discuss solutions for work related problems, to share professional experiences and to provide career advice to the group. Mentor and mentee pairs will also be encouraged to set up unstructured meetings individually at their own pace. Based on individual priorities, they could be in touch via email, phone or in-person.
