The BPMA has created this privacy statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. The following describes in more detail the information gathering and dissemination practices for this website and how your information is used and shared. Your information will not be sold or traded to a third-party at any time.
What does the BPMA do with the information you provide?
- Website registration
The website registration form requires registrants to provide contact information (like name, company), demographic information (like industry, size of company) and unique preferences.
The information we gather from our members helps us personalize and continually improve the benefits we offer our membership. This information can better help us understand the interests and backgrounds of our members and can be used in the selection process for guest speakers. It can also be used to send information you requested.
This information may also be used in aggregate form when combined with all membership data (e.g. the number of members from a particular industry) for purposes of attracting quality services and benefits for our members. No individual information is ever given to a third party without your permission.
- Forums, groups, and blogs
This website makes forums, groups, and blogs available to its members. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information in any of these parts of the site.
- Member profile
When setting up your member profile, you will be able to configure the information about you which is made visible to other members. You may change your profile at any time.
- Surveys
Surveys are used to collect demographic and profile data (like company and title) and can be shared with sponsors on an aggregate basis. No individual information is ever given to a third party without your permission.
- Career Center
We have a partnership with JobTarget to service our Career Center. In order to enable a smoother login process, we have enabled a single sign-on from the BPMA website to the JobTarget website. When accessing the Career Center, your email address is passed to JobTarget so that they may log you into your current account or create a new one for you. JobTarget does not repurposes those accounts for anything more than servicing the BPMA Career Center.
- Opt-ins
From time to time, the BPMA will send information about new events, membership benefits, website and community updates, career center promotions, as well as valuable partner and sponsor offers. You have the ability to choose exactly what kind of communication you would like to receive from the BPMA through your profile. The BPMA recommends opting in to these communications to take full advantage of all the programs and benefits that we offer.
Does the BPMA share the information it receives?
Your information will not be sold or traded to a third-party at any time. Only the profile information you explicitly choose to make public will be viewable by other members.
