About the Topic

ASP-Boston hosts a monthly session on the first Tuesday of the month. Join us on May 4th at 7:30 am
.

Do the traits of conscious capitalism and compassion for all stakeholders which are embodied in the Firms of Endearment (FoEs) create the best companies? How do they compare with the "Good to Great" companies which are focused on discipline and financial performance? This presentation will summarize both business models, the factors that make them successful, and present examples of their successes.

Then the group will be invited to discuss questions about the future -- for example:
  • Can endearing companies really thrive over the long term?
  • Is there even more they could be doing to assist the success of all their stakeholders?
  • Are Firms of Endearment limited to the US?
  • Will both Firms of Endearment and Good to Great companies co-exist well in our society?
