About the Topic

ASP-Boston hosts a monthly morning session on the first Tuesday of the month.

Too many companies are taking far greater risks than they may be aware of. Posing the million-dollar-question, "What is the cost of what you don’t know”, this session alerts leaders to hidden risks that may be lurking inside their projects and even companies.

This enterprise risk management (ERM) presentation includes stories in an interactive session where the attendees walk away with (1) strategic areas to reduce existing risk and foreseeable loss, (2) how they can increase the likelihood of achieving new revenues, and (3) includes a process where each attendee can start an actionable process on the highest value area immediately.

This discussion builds on the Directors & Board article, "What is Your Boards Embarrassment Quiz”.

This commonsense approach to risk management unlocks added value both identifying formerly invisible opportunities and revealing key risk areas business unwittingly takes. According to research only four percent of executives in corporations are entrepreneurs or entrepreneurial. The shortage of entrepreneurial leaders may be a main reason why most new innovation efforts fail. What impact will this have on the future of companies already struggling in the current economy and those that know they need to transform themselves if they hope to survive?
