Must Know Marketing for Product Managers

A Practitioner's Workshop Series event
with expert Alyssa Dver, Author of No Time marketing and CEO of Mint Green Marketing

This interactive 4-hour workshop is perfect for product managers, managers, and other staff or business owners who must know enough to work with, evaluate and/or hire other people to do marketing. Participants will learn strategic marketing and obtain useful filters to screen if their product/company marketing is well-aligned with the business objectives.

By learning and doing the No Time Marketing process, you will leave knowing how to build a marketing plan, how to evaluate another person’s plan, and their own role as a PM supporting the company’s marketing initiatives.

Section 1: The Meaning of Marketing and Doing Meaningful Marketing

· Why bother marketing? What is marketing? Why is it important? How much is enough?

· A Marketing Inventory - What and why a marketing inventory? What do you know and what do you need to know?

· Filling in the Blanks – How to obtain important information about: Your Prospects & Customers; The Buying Process; Your Marketing Channels; Your Competition; Your Market.

· Position with Precision – how to build a defendable, compelling position.

· Sending the Right Message – the difference between message and positioning and how to do it.

Section 2: Spread the word well

· Push Marketing/Building awareness and acquiring leads – where and how to place your message in the right places at the right price

· Pull Marketing/Fostering leads through the sales cycle - lead follow up plans

· Lead Management – how and how many?

· Don’t Write, Present! – building a marketing plan presentation for investors, for staff, for yourself

About the Presenter:

With a track record of success in product management, marketing, and sales, Alyssa Dver is a thought leader and hands-on practitioner who brings practical, efficient marketing assistance to large and small clients around the world including: The Association of International Product Management and Marketing (AIPMM), The New England Human Resource Association (NEHRA), Nokia, Choice Hotels, IBM, IDC, Aberdeen, EMC, J Ross Wine, Integration Point, Cambria Consulting, Zebra Technologies, Pitney Bowes, and dozens of other B-to-B and B-to-C companies.
