The idea that if you build the right product it will sell itself is just not true. In this session, we’ll use real-life case studies to illustrate the importance of building your go-to-market strategy before you build your product. Learn how to leverage the same agile techniques that you do in the development process—sprints, user stories, iterations, cross functional teams and more--to create adaptive go-to-market plans right from the start.

After the session, attendees will be able to:

  • Know when and how to begin go-to-market planning
  • Understand what agile marketing is and why it is important
  • Implement specific techniques to start creating adaptive go-to-market strategies
    • User stories
    • Iterative approach
    • Planning for change
    • Cross functional efforts and communication
  • Share real-life success and failure stories to help sell the ideas internally

 


Timeline for the evening:

6:15 pm: Registration opens
6:30 - 7:15 pm: Informal & structured networking (light refreshments are served)
7:20 - 7:30 pm: Announcements
7:30 - 8:30 pm: Presentation
8:30 - 9:00 pm: Wrap up, networking follow up and depart

 


Cost:

Premium Members: Free if you pre-register online at least one day prior to event or $10 at the door
Basic Members: $25 if you pre-register and pay online at least one day prior to event or $35 at the door
Non-Members: $35 if you pre-register and pay online at least one day prior to event or $45 at the door

Jon Gatrell brings more than a decade of experience in product management, marketing, sales, and corporate development to Pragmatic Marketing. He specializes in product packaging and positioning of products for global markets. Prior to Pragmatic Marketing, Jon served in senior product management and marketing positions at a number of companies, most recently at Stonebranch and Inovis. He has successfully implemented the Pragmatic Marketing Framework at multiple companies, and integrated it into several acquisition plans.
