About the panelists:
Larry Kim is the Founder & CTO of WordStream, an Industry-leading provider popular Search Engine Marketing software tools and platforms including PPC Advisor, the 20 Minute PPC Work Week, the AdWords Grader, and the Free Keyword Tool, which are used by hundreds of thousands of search marketers worldwide. Larry founded and bootstrapped the company in 1997 and built the initial prototype himself.
Today WordStream is a venture-backed start-up based in Back Bay, Boston, employing over 60 people. The company enables small and medium sized businesses to be successful at Paid Search marketing, has managed or has evaluated over $1 Billion in annualized advertising spend to date. Larry has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and lives in Cambridge.
Scott Simpson Chief Technology Officer and Partner at Cambria, has over 17 years experience designing and implementing talent management technology solutions for the Fortune 500 and Government Agencies. For 10 years, he worked in, then led Cambria’s survey practice, designing and delivering web-based survey and appraisal systems. He then leveraged his dual expertise in talent assessment and technology to develop the TalentApp Technology Platform used to deliver Cambria’s talent development solutions, now being delivered on Microsoft Azure.
Scott holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering from Nottingham University, England and a Masters degree in Information Technology from Harvard University.
Igor Tsinman, an accomplished software engineer, is a partner and co-founder of US-based Sitrus LLC, a production-quality software engineering provider. For companies that develop software to sell or for internal use only, Sitrus has highly skilled software developers that can augment or act as a client’s own internal engineering group.
Prior to Sitrus, Igor held in-house engineering leadership positions at a variety of software companies in the US and Ukraine where he honed his abilities to manage distributed projects, implement complex design and architecture, and ensure smooth information flow between the business and technical parts of an organization.
With a BS and MS in Physics both from Dnepropetrovsk State University, Igor has had several papers published on advanced software systems such as a simulation system he developed at the Ukraine Geological Research Center. Supported by a US patent credit, he has deep technology experience working with numerous programming tools and languages on a variety of hardware platforms. He has worked with both start-ups and established technology leaders helping them quickly get their software ideas from the white board into commercial production.
Bill McQuaide has 20 years of technology experience and executive leadership spanning engineering, product management, marketing and business development. Prior to Black Duck Software he spent 10 years with RSA Security during which time the company experienced rapid growth. RSA Security was acquired by EMC Corporation in 2006. He most recently served as a Senior Vice President of the Enterprise Solutions Group and Corporate Development.
Bill’s previous experience includes four years at Hewlett-Packard, where he led the Product Management and Channel Development teams for the company’s Technical Systems Division. In prior positions, Bill worked for Data General, Stardent Computer and Apollo Computer, where he was instrumental in defining and launching successful hardware and software products.
About the moderator:
Alyssa Dver, CPM, CPMM leads Mint Green Marketing providing revenue-producing marketing support to companies of all sizes around the world. Some of the better known clients include Nokia, Choice Hotels, IBM, IDC, Aberdeen, Zebra Technologies, and Pitney Bowes. Previous to founding Mint Green, Alyssa was the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at a number of public and private technology companies. She has lived and worked internationally as well as started 3 successful companies. Keynoting multiple times each month at conferences and associations, Dver is also a frequent guest lecturer at business schools and corporate training seminars.
Dver is a regularly featured contributor in Software Magazine, BusinessWeek, and Forbes writing about technology, corporate responsibility and marketing topics for those and other publications. Dver is the author of, "No Time Marketing: small business-sized steps in 30 minutes or less” as well as the well-endorsed, "Software Product Management Essentials” and her latest book,"Ms. Informed: Wake Up Wisdom for Women” . She has also produced two children’s educational books.
Ms. Dver graduated from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and is an AIPMM certified product manager and product marketer.
