Boston Product Management Association Announces PRODiE Award Winner, Finalists

Second Annual Award Honors Excellence in Product Management and Product Marketing

BOSTON - February 2, 2016 - The Boston Product Management Association (BPMA), the Boston area's largest volunteer-run organization for product professionals, today announced the winner and finalists of the second annual BPMA PRODiE Awards(tm) for excellence in product management and product marketing.

The product management and product marketing functions typically drive research, strategy, features and product launches, yet they encompass just 13% of the typical product team. In recognition of the outsize impact that product management and product marketing often have on the success of products and companies, the Boston Product Management Association (BPMA) established the BPMA PRODiE Awards(tm). The only such awards in the Boston area, the annual PRODiE Awards honor excellence in product management and product marketing. The PRODiE Awards provide a unique opportunity for the entire community to learn repeatable best practices from the best product management and product marketing teams in the Boston area.

Finalists from six companies were selected to present their projects on January 28 during a live event at the Harvard i-lab. Judges then selected the winning entries. Judges included Professor Tom Eisenmann of the Harvard Business School; Carol Meyers, CMO of Rapid7; Mike Putnam, SVP Marketing of American Well; and Bruce McCarthy, Founder & CEO of UpUp Labs and BPMA President.

The winner and finalists of the second annual BPMA PRODiE Awards for excellence in product management and product marketing are:

  • Winner: SnapApp

  • Runners-up: Curaspan and Morpho Detection

  • Additional finalists: HealthcareSource, Northeastern University NanoOPS, and Pri-Med

Bruce McCarthy, Boston Product Management Association (BPMA) president, said "The BPMA is very pleased to honor 2016 BPMA PRODiE winner SnapApp; runners-up Curaspan and  Morpho Detection; and finalists HealthcareSource, Pri-Med, and Northeastern University NanoOPS, in recognition of product management and product marketing excellence. Among the most leveraged functions in many companies, the product management and product marketing functions can make or break the success of a new product. That is why we are highlighting best practices in product management and product marketing, as exemplified by the BPMA PRODiE Award winner, runners-up, and finalists, so that others can learn and drive product success at their own companies."
